Plastic bag pastel marble

Hello, hello!  This is a technique I've been wanting to try for a few weeks now and I finally had the time today to try and do it.  It's super simple, I can't believe I didn't try it sooner.

I started with a base coat of Essie Sugar Daddy.  It's a nice light peachy cream.  Very pretty on it's own but I wanted to kick it up a bit so I decided to do the baggy marble. For that I used Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, Sally Hansen Sorbet, Essie Bikini so Teeny, and OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender.

All you do is add a drop or two of each color over the base coat.  Then you just press a part of a baggy over the top.  That's it!  It's kinda messy as the above photo shows, but well worth the time it takes to clean up.

Not too bad for a first attempt, eh?
One of these days I'm going to figure out lighting and proper camera settings.  :)  Until then, enjoy these crappy pics!  Hehe

Oranges, Poranges, who cares????

Hello, Hello friends!  Today I'm bringing you one of my many favorite manis.  I did it back in November and like a fool didn't write down what I used so...sorry!  LOL, I will say that I used BM 308 for the stamping and fimo sticks for the 3d fruits.  Other than that, I'm pretty sure it was SC Clementine for the orange.  :)
And now, on to the pics.  Enjoy!!

I'm kinda starting to like the 3d effect.  It's fun to do and the little sticks I bought were super cheap.  I'm also finding that I'm really starting to use a lot of glitter.  I'm not sure why that's happening as it's such a pain to remove.  The other day I used glue as my base coat so I could just peel off the glitter polish.  That would have been great except one of the nails came off early in the morning.  This resulted in me having to peel off the rest and have naked nails all day long.  Arghhh.  I really need to keep an emergency bottle in my desk at work.  Oh well!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and that you all like my orange fruity manicure.

Love the snow

Hello, hello!  I have to say, I love snow!  Unfortunately we haven't had much of it this year and that makes me a bit sad.  I don't mind the cold winter weather if I see pretty white snow but since we aren't getting it this year I decided to give myself a snowy mani.
First I painted all my nails with China Glaze "For Audrey".  This is my absolutely favorite color these days.  How can you not like a Tiffany blue?  Next I painted white over my ring fingers.  For that I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Next I added a 3D snowflake and some blue jewels to the accent nails.  Then I put some snowflake and star stickers on the blue nails.  I also sprinkled some white glitter I picked up at Walgreens for .99 on the blue ones.  Finally I painted over the accent nail with some Wet N Wild glitter.
I've really become a huge glitter fan this holiday season.  In fact, for my birthday (Dec. 18) and Christmas I asked for Sally Beauty gift cards and just tonight I made a trip there and purchased to my heart's consent!  I should have taken a pic of my haul before I put it all away.  What a lovely time I had just wandering around the store picking out polishes and accessories!  Hope you enjoy this mani as much as I do!!
